Printing barcode stickers for grocery and clothing stores

Barcodes are what make a busy counter fast: scan, and the item, price and stock all update in one beep. But plenty of products — loose grocery items, garments, locally packed goods — don’t come with a barcode printed on them. KaroBaryaar lets you create your own and print stickers for them.

When you need your own barcodes

• Grocery/mart: repacked items, loose goods sold by unit, and anything without a manufacturer barcode.
• Clothing/apparel: most garments, where you also want the barcode to carry the size and colour.
• Any shop: in-house or private-label products.

How it works

1. Give the product a barcode. KaroBaryaar can generate a unique code for any product (and, for a clothing store, a separate code for each size-and-colour variant).
2. Print the stickers. Generate labels in one click and print them on a standard label/sticker printer. Each sticker carries the barcode and, if you like, the name and price.
3. Stick and scan. Put the sticker on the item. From then on it scans like any other product — no typing at the counter.
